Privacy Policy
1) Introduction and controller contact data
We are pleased about your interest in VetaSense. Below we inform you about how we handle your personal data when you use this website. Personal data is any data that can be used to identify you personally.
The controller within the meaning of the GDPR is VetaSense - Marco Herten, Am Weinberg 86, 4880 Sankt Georgen im Attergau, Austria, Tel.: +436609509901, Email: veti@vetasense.com. The competent supervisory authority is the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Barichgasse 40-42, 1030 Vienna, email: dsb@dsb.gv.at, web: dsb.gv.at).
2) Data collected when visiting our website
When you use this website for informational purposes only — i.e. you do not join the early-access waitlist or otherwise transmit information to us — we only collect data that your browser sends to the server (so-called server log files): pages visited, date and time of access, amount of data transferred, referrer, browser, operating system, and IP address (possibly in anonymized form).
Processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR and our legitimate interest in the stability and functionality of this website. The data is not shared or otherwise used. This website uses SSL/TLS encryption; you can recognize an encrypted connection by the "https://" prefix and the lock symbol in your browser bar.
3) Early-access waitlist with double opt-in
You can join the early access to VetaSense on this website. Your email address is collected to inform you about the product launch and early-access opportunities. Signup uses a double opt-in procedure: after submitting the form with the consent checkbox checked, we send a neutral confirmation email. Your signup only becomes active when you click the confirmation link in that email. This ensures the consent actually comes from the owner of the email address. The confirmation email itself contains no advertising.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. To meet our documentation obligations (Art. 7 (1) GDPR), we store the time of signup and confirmation, the IP address at signup, and the version of the consent text. You may withdraw your consent at any time (Art. 7 (3) GDPR), e.g. via the unsubscribe link in any of our emails or by writing to veti@vetasense.com.
For sending emails and managing the waitlist (including signup, confirmation and consent metadata and unsubscribe status) we use Resend (Resend, Inc., USA). Your email address and the aforementioned evidence data are transmitted to and stored by Resend. Transfers to the USA take place under the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and appropriate technical and organizational measures. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Resend.
Every marketing email contains a working unsubscribe link. Clicking it permanently sets your signup to "unsubscribed"; you may also request unsubscription at any time by emailing veti@vetasense.com.
If you reach this website via a campaign link (e.g. from a social network), the campaign markers contained in the link (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign) may be processed together with your signup to determine which access path led to the signup. These markers are stored only together with a completed (confirmed) signup as part of your signup data — a mere visit to the website is not recorded. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in evaluating the effectiveness of our access channels (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). No reach measurement, tracking, or analysis by third parties takes place.
4) Hosting
This website is hosted by Vercel (Vercel, Inc., USA). When you access the website, Vercel processes server log files (see section 2) and technical data required for delivery and security on our behalf. Art. 28 GDPR requirements for processors apply. Transfers to the USA take place under the EU SCCs and appropriate security measures.
5) Cookies & local storage
We only use technically necessary cookies or local storage required to operate this website, based on our legitimate interest (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). No consent is required. No marketing cookies, tracking cookies, or analytics tools that set cookies or process personal data are used; tools such as Google Analytics are not used.
6) Contacting us
When you contact us (e.g. by email), personal data is processed exclusively for the purpose of handling and answering your request, based on our legitimate interest under Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
7) Data subject rights
You have the right to:
- Access (Art. 15 GDPR): request information about whether and which data about you is stored.
- Rectification (Art. 16 GDPR): request correction of inaccurate data.
- Erasure (Art. 17 GDPR): request deletion of your data (unless legal retention obligations apply).
- Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR).
- Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR): receive your data in a common format.
- Withdraw consent (Art. 7 (3) GDPR) at any time.
Right to object: you may object at any time to the processing of your data.
8) Storage duration
Server log files are stored for a limited period to ensure security and functionality and then deleted. Your email address from the early-access waitlist is stored until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
9) Security measures
We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, loss, or destruction. These include encrypted transmission (HTTPS/TLS) and the security standards of our hosting and service partners (Vercel, Resend).
We reserve the right to adapt this privacy policy as needed.
